This functional take on minestrone is inspired by Dr Steven Gundry’s daily green soup philosophy—a practice we have made one of our own non-negotiables. So many people ask what I rely on daily, especially as someone who still has the occasional gut health flare-up—and as boring as it is, green soup is it. Loaded with gut-feeding greens like leek, zucchini, spinach and asparagus, and boosted with our very own Body Glue for a dose of collagen and amino acids, it’s light, healing and deeply nourishing. Real food, real function.

Serves 4

Ingredients:
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 brown onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 small zucchinis, diced
1 leek, finely sliced
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp Gevity Rx Natural Body Glue
1 bunch of asparagus
3 cups baby spinach
1 lemon, juice & zest
Fresh parsley, to garnish
Fresh chives, to garnish

What to do:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, leek and zucchini. Season with sea salt, black pepper and cayenne.
2. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are soft and fragrant.

Stir in the Natural Bone Broth Body Glue and pour in 3 cups of boiling water. Mix well to dissolve, then bring everything to a gentle simmer.
3. Add the asparagus and simmer for 2–3 minutes until just tender. Then stir through the baby spinach and cook for another 1–2 minutes, just until wilted.
4. Turn off the heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest. Ladle into bowls and garnish generously with chopped parsley and chives. Serve warm and enjoy.
